All of these changes are documented in the OS 2.2 Release Notes but here are the highlights (do not use this as an excuse not to read the release notes!):
New Features and Functionality
- Video Intercom – One of the primary features added to the OS 2.2 release is the introduction of Video Intercom support. This functionality is available only on the new 7” Portable Touch Screen with Camera. It will also be included on future products from Control4.
- Audio Intercom – The current 5” and 7” In-Wall Touch Screens will continue to support the audio intercom functionality and are interoperable (audio only) with the intercom on the 7” Portable Touch Screen with Camera. UI changes have been introduced that should make the Intercom easier to use.
- Report OS Version on Check-In – Controllers checking in to my.control4.com will now report the OS version that they are running. The Control4 Dealer will be able to view this information for each of their customers by logging into their dealer account on my.control4.com. [not currently available pending update of my.control4.com]
- CD Browse – Added the Navigator user interface to support browsing and playback of CDs stored on disc changers.
- Added ability to use the Windows Shift-Click and Ctrl-Click multi-select method when specifying device visibility and display order within Composer, System Design, Navigator.
